Delta Man Screen
++++++++++++++++
The screen is your view from within the robotic space suit.
Top left corner is your view to the outside world. Top right is
what mode you are in, ACTION, REPLY, or FUNCTION, plus all your
available commands.
At the bottom of the screen is your in-helmet-computer named SAL.
All messages are displayed here.
Control Modes
------- -----
Action -- in this mode, joystick controls all robotic actions
Function -- in this mode, joystick controls the command center at
top right of screen. this allows you to ask creatures
questions, pick items, etc.
Reply -- computer wants a response to a question. Use joystick,
cannot do anything till you reply
To manually switch from ACTION to FUNCTION or back, press space
bar.
If not in ACTION mode, press space bar to get into it now in
order to move suit either right or left with joystick.
Robotic arm movement -- while in ACTION mode press fire button
and move joystick at the same time to move arm. When arm
is holding an action object, it will become activated when
button is released
While in the FUNCTION mode, move joystick up or down to change
background color of the current command. By pressing fire button,
you will either activate it or go to a subcommand.
To get out of subcommand, just go to the command that says
"Main Menu."
Passage Movement and Lights

At the top of the screen are 4 lights, which are either a
red light -- passage is in range but closed
or a
green light -- passage is in range and open

All 4 lights lit -- passage in range behind suit
2 center lights lit -- passage in range ahead
2 right lights lit -- passage in range on right
2 left lights lit -- passage in range on left
To go through a passage: move right or left until the passage
lights at the top of the screen are in one of the four light
pattern codes.
1) If the lights are red, push forward on joystick to open the
door unless it tells you that it is locked.
2) If the door is not locked, it will open, indicated by a green
light.
Once lights are green push joystick forward to go thru door.
Passage Control

With a red light -- push joystick forward to open door. Light
channges to green if unlocked.
With a green light -- push joystick forward to go thru door or
passage.
Push joystick backward to close door. Light changes to red to
show it closed
Objects
+++++++
To aid you in your journey, there are several objects you can
find and use. Some can only be used once and then more must be
found. Others such as guns, modules, etc. cannot be destroyed.
Whatever you find can be lost, stolen, contaminated, etc, so be
careful with use and storage.
